Twisted Love

I still do not understand why people use the money they do not have to impress those that do not like them.  Meanwhile, those that truly love them are neglected. I do not get it. While growing up, I know of a certain philanthropist whose family members were not enjoying his wealth. He won’t pay fees in time and feeding was an issue, yet, people sang his praise. This is crazy.

What is the essence of your wealth when those around you cannot boast of three meals per day. Your wealth is meant to boost them and not leave them in poverty. People would sing your name but they will be the first to cast a stone on you when it comes to your family life disregarding the fact that you pleased them against your family.

Some other time you think you do not need your family members and talk about them to others in a terrible way but when you have a fall out with these people you return to your family. I see this sometimes and it saddens the heart. Your family is your family, they may be terrible in a way only you can explain but they are the only ones who would stick their neck for you. Everyone has issues they are dealing with in their family but they do not come to the open to wash their dirty cloth.

Someone told me how she was passing through a difficult situation, the first thing I asked her is what of your family.  People have terrible behavior but sincerely not been there for your family member is not a good thing.

Yoruba people say it is better to marry a bad man that his family is good and everyone wants to reckon with them than marry a man who is all shade of goodness but his family profile is zero.  The importance of one’s family cannot be over emphasized.
If you find a family that the mother of the home is beautiful inside out, the father is one that is honest and thorough, the daughters of the family are welcoming and the sons are protective of but the person you want to marry isn’t as good as his parents, sisters and brothers may be you should consider marrying such a person.  On the other hand, if the person is heaven on earth and the parents are wolves in sheep clothing, sisters are manipulative and brothers are self-centered please run for your life. In the end it boils down to the family, No one is an entity, when the chips are down you have to run to the family. It is important one choose wisely.

The bond of a family is the sacrifice they make.  Most times the only person that stands out for you in a society that is ready to devour you is your family. The joys, tears, achievements, challenges, regrets, sorrows and other aspect of life is properly handled in the family.

My Daddy usually say “Under no circumstance must you sell your family, when it is time to buy them back no amount of money can buy them.” True. Such is life.  Patience is all one need to endure then enjoy life. Nobody is got it all.

We Are A Hard Working People

These pictures captured my thought.  When I see children like this,  I sincerely  thank God for where I am.  Not because I am better but because I am privileged.  Sometimes,  I try to make mental calculation of the gain they make by selling gala,  pure water,  biscuits,  sweets and hand towels under the sun.  The truth is,  whatever profit they make is minimal and cannot meet their daily demands. The state- our system is responsible for these children and young adult.  These are kids whose childhood was snatched from them. They have been forced to become care givers at an early age yet the need for survival  push them to conquer. How cruel can we be?
